Symptoms
Generalized painful myoclonic syndrome, under evolution since 1997.
Presently on clinical examination:
- modified sitting posture, aggravated in orthostatic position and while walking; stiff man with anteflexion of head and shoulders;
- quasi permanent involuntary movements, , more intense in the scapular girdle, especially on the right side, migratory and oscillating as amplitude, determined by severe contractions of different muscle groups, occasionally with ballistic movements. More intense risomelic muscular contractions also involve the cephalic extremity (de negation). Extensor muscles of spinal column are in permanent contraction. Postural versions are accomplished difficultly, especially those involving extension of arms. He cannot extend his arms toward his back.
- “Index-nose” test reveals oppositional tremor more accentuated on the right side
- No pyramidal signs, no objective sensitivity dysfunctions
- Cranial nerves within normal relations.
Very rare (seldom) involuntary movement in abnormal positions, AND this movement is not persistent for a LONG period of time
Pain, "somehow inside" without any visible contraction outside. (Abdomen area)
• Walk problem due to the heavy muscular cramps. (when I walk more then more than 100m)
• Gape difficulty.
• When I feel bad (muscular spasm, aches), the color of the skin around the neck (front side) is getting intensive red.
• The pain is intensive, short and repetitive like a discharge at muscle level, and most of the times not only one group of muscle is involved in this action.
• Write difficulty due to uncontrollable hand movement
• Inability to move the hands on …the back side of the body, without cramps. (The same situation with the hands UP).
• Unable to turn my had (and keep it there) on the right/left position.
• Sometimes neck contraction (persistent but not for long time)
• Stress or emotions can trigger neck contractions and head movement
• Muscle aches in the nape area (very painful)
• Strong muscle aches if I do not:
1. Respect the meal program.
2. Respect sleep program (tiredness)
3. Do expose to sunlight or cold
4. Air pressure changing (rainy or windy day, etc)
RESULT: strong cramps all over the body.
